The Greed of Humans Continues Unabated

Thank goodness I'm a frog, why? Because unlike you lot out there, I don't have to pay for what I eat, and best of all, there's nobody trying to make a small fortune from what I do eat. From where I'm sitting, I'd say that you humans are undergoing a mounting crisis, one that is being forced upon you by a greedy few. No, it has nothing to do with houses.Yes, there are people out there among you who are steadily pushing the price on the world's commodities market, ever upwards, just so they'll make a killing (not literally, though from what I understand, many will die as a result of these actions.) on the stock exchange. Do you suppose that these same greedy people will be bothered about the price of food going sky high? You can bet they won't! They can afford to play with the price of food, whereas it's pretty sure that you can't. Croak!!!

Every time there is a crisis in society, someone, somewhere is making a fortune from it.

I know, there's a lot of you out there thinking, it's that crazy frog again, and he's trying to put the wind up us. True! But there again, you lot could do with something putting up you, if only to wake you up out of this bout of complacency you've got yourselves bogged down in. Ribbit!!!

Bob wonders why it is that so many of you seem to like throwing good food away? It doesn't make any sense to me either, but after studying humans for so long, it appears that many of you like to complain that you haven't got enough money to live on, and by the same token you throw good consumable food away without so much as a thought about what you're doing. Crazy? Of course it is. It would be true to say that it is not only the members of the public that throw good food away, Supermarkets are doing it all the time! Croak!!! Their motto seems to be: if we can't sell it, we'll just chuck it away. For a responsible sector of society, they are setting a very bad example to the rest of you. Don't you think that it's remotely odd that when you lot are being asked to watch what you put into your dustbins, the Supermarkets are doing exactly the opposite? Are these companies so powerful that they can defy the laws set out by the EEC on the disposal of waste? Croak!!!

And what about this, using food crops to make fuel for your cars? Now this has to be the maddest action of the lot. Well, if you can accept this, then you can't moan about it when food becomes short and prices go even higher. Priorities, you must learn to get these in the correct order of importance. Ribbit!!!

That's all for this week, take care...
